Abridge Technology is a Virginia-based company, founded in 1996, that provides consulting, training, and support services and products in the areas of project management, process improvement, process measurement, process definition and modeling, and risk management.

Abridge Technology is an SEI Partner (Software Engineering Institute, Carnegie Mellon University) and is licensed to provide official SEI training ("Introduction to CMMI") and appraisal services (i.e., SCAMPI Class A, B, and C Appraisals).

Abridge Technology specializes in helping you leverage the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and the legacy Software Capability Maturity Model (CMM) to improve organizational and project capability and efficiency. Abridge Technology has assisted industry and government with Software CMM-based process improvement since 1992, Acquisition CMM-based process improvement since 1996, and CMMI-based process improvement since 2000.

We have experience at all levels of Civil Government (Federal, State, and County) and with a variety of Defense Organizations in both classified and unclassified environments.

If you are interested in process descriptions, Abridge Technology has an "80% Solution" that consists of a set of defined best practices in areas including project management, configuration management, requirements management, quality assurance, risk management, etc. As a standard service, we can review your organizational context and goals and then tailor our 80% Solution into a 95% Solution that is specific to your organization. After piloting, you take ownership of your tailored solutions for ongoing evolution and improvement. This overall approach is substantially less expensive than you developing all your process descriptions from scratch.
